- $1,000 for solar hot water and $600 for heat pump hot water systems.
- Light globes and showerheads can be replaced with more efficient models at no cost to you.
- Draught proofing on windows and external doors is subsidised and can help to keep your home cool in summer and warm in winter.
To arrange an 'Energy Saver – it all starts at home' visit to your house or apartment, call one of the energy efficiency installation companies.
Who performs the installations?
Light globes and shower heads are installed by trained installers who have had police checks, wear uniforms and will show ID on arrival.
The 'Energy Saver – it all starts at home' project partners will organise specialised tradespeople for more complex installations such as solar hot water .
How can these installations be free?
- The energy efficiency installers working with this program are all accredited under the Victorian Government’s Energy Saver scheme. The scheme requires energy retailers to purchase certificates that are generated through installation of certain energy efficiency products. That’s why the installers will ask you to sign a form verifying that the installation occurred.
