Eco Carlton is a sustainable living project for the Carlton community.
The project aims to:
- empower and unite the Carlton community to be, think and feel ‘green’
- help build the community’s capacity to reduce their impact on the environment
- reduce water use, energy use and waste in Carlton.
Through staged resident, business and community projects over the next year, the City of Melbourne together with the Opportunities for Carlton (OFC) network aims to empower the Carlton community to reduce their impact on the environment.

Carlton is at the centre of rapid change with significant increases in population and growth in new medium and high density developments in the area.
