The CBD Homelessness Health Access Protocol aims to improve homeless people’s access to health and mental health services within the CBD.
Working with Moonee Valley Melbourne Primary Care Partnership, the Department of Human Services and other key health and homelessness service agencies and organisations, the City of Melbourne has piloted a project to develop a comprehensive good practice guide and encourage communication between agencies.
This project aims to both connect and support organisations and help build effective networks to benefit homeless people by providing improved access to community and mental health services, and incorporate accommodation, community care and outreach services, including tackling drugs and alcohol issues.
