The City of Melbourne has three public libraries – City Library, East Melbourne Library and North Melbourne Library – and an access point at the Docklands Hub.
The libraries offer a wide range of facilities, services and resources, including books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, journals and newspapers in a range of languages as well as electronic publications. Library membership is free and open to anyone.
The 2010–11 budget includes more than $1 million to bolster the City of Melbourne’s range of library collections, programs and facilities.
