What's on City of Melbourne

Maternal and child health

The City of Melbourne's maternal and child health service supports families with children from birth to six years.

All maternal and child health nurses hold specialist qualifications in midwifery, maternal and child health and immunisation.

When you have your baby, the hospital will send a notification to the City of Melbourne and your local maternal and child health nurse will contact you within the first week to arrange a home visit. Further appointments will be made for you during this visit.

If you are new to the City of Melbourne and have children aged between birth and four years, please contact your local maternal and child health centre and arrange an appointment.
