The City of Melbourne's Planning register online provides information on the status of all planning permit applications and decisions in the City of Melbourne.
The register is designed to save time and to make the planning application process more efficient and transparent. Planning Register Online provides information such as:
- the planning permit number
- a description of the proposal
- the status of the application
- plans and supporting documentation for applications on advertising
- whether objections have been lodged
- the decision on the application
The Planning Register online also provides copies of plans and supporting documentation for applications which are currently being advertised.
Advertised documents and current planning permit application files are also available for viewing between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday at the
Planning and Building Counter

Planning applications with a 'TPM' or 'TPD' prefix
Planning permit applications which have the prefix 'TPM' or 'TPD' in their application number are the responsibility of the Victorian Minister for Planning.
Enquiries about these applications should be directed to the Department of Planning and Community Development at 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne.
