The City of Melbourne requires developers and builders to effectively manage noise from excavation, demolition and construction sites within the municipality.
The Noise and Vibration Guidelines for Construction and Demolition Sites has been developed to:
- provide a clearer understanding of the expectations of the Local Law
- deliver a consistent and effective measure for assessing any noise-related nuisance at building sites
- give a better understanding of obligations to builders, developers, contractors and other interested parties
