The City of Melbourne has compiled a Code of Practice for Building and Construction to ensure adequate levels of public safety and amenity are maintained within the municipality of the City of Melbourne.
The Code of Practice includes information on:
- permits, planning and documentation
- hoardings
- gantries, hoisting zones and sites sheds
- perimeter scaffolding and catch fans
- cranes
- skips and rubbish chutes
- excavations and crossings
- barricades and signs
- noise abatement
