Tim Darbyshire
'It is a hair-raisingly gruesome transformation, a visceral undergoing engineered through remarkable physical manipulation and powerful imagery.'
Fjord Review (on 'Buckets and Other Things')
Choreographer/performer Tim Darbyshire premieres a resonant and visceral new work, revealing the links between human movement and (found) sounds as triggers of emotion and memory.
The body is suspended between tangible and ambiguous experiences – analysed and obscured through states of containment, abstraction and repetition.
Drawing on references from Musique Concrète, Foley film sound, synaesthesia theory and percussive performance genres – More or Less Concrete promises an intriguing collaborative project realised by a diverse creative team.
