Future Melbourne
Future Melbourne is Melbourne's long-term plan for the future direction of all aspects of city life, replacing the former City Plan 2010 plan.
City benchmarking and comparisons
There is a growing number of national and international city awards, indexes, lists, ranks and studies which purport to benchmark cities against one another in various categories.
They often receive widespread media attention and consequently are of interest to the City of Melbourne for any potential to influence the city’s reputation or infer ways ‘Melbourne’s’ rankings might be improved. City of Melbourne keeps an inventory of relevant methodologies and studies from this range of products.
The methodologies, purposes or authors’ interpretations of the many international city accolades, comparisons and rankings need to be understood by the City of Melbourne, to most effectively make use of their findings and outcomes.
