North West 2010 is a long-term framework for community planning in North and West Melbourne.
The project gives priority to issues such as managing new residential development, maintaining viable shopping centres, retaining the area's mixed-use character, better use of open space, providing appropriate community services and managing local traffic.
The vision for North and West Melbourne is to encourage the creation of a sustainable and self-sustaining living and working urban village.
