Submission Workshops
Submission workshops were held in April 2012. The workshops were designed to give entrants professional help and guidance in completing their Melbourne Awards submission.
Entrants received handy hints and expert advice on what the judges are looking for and the elements required for a good submission. The Melbourne Awards process was outlined, the criteria was discussed in detail and entrants had the opportunity to ask questions.
Entrants were also guided through the online entry process. Uploading submissions online is not mandatory, however, it is highly encouraged to assist in reducing the carbon footprint of the Melbourne Awards.

Please note that content presented at the workshops will be the same on each date. Please ensure you indicate which day you would like to attend when registering. Only entrants who have registered for the 2012 Melbourne Awards are eligible to attend the workshop events.
Gala Awards Ceremony
Winners of the 2012 Melbourne Awards will be announced at a prestigious Gala Awards Ceremony at the Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday 18 August 2012.
The evening will be hosted by Channel 7 celebrities with a first-class entertainment line-up and a sumptuous three-course dinner, courtesy of Epicure Catering.
The Melbourne Awards are held in the lead up to the Melbourne Day celebrations as the Awards celebrate the hard work, ingenuity and generosity that continues to shape our community. Melbourne Day, 30 August, marks the date that the first European settlers landed on the north bank of the Yarra River from the schooner Enterprize.
