Melbourne Knowledge Week (MKW) is an initiative of the City of Melbourne and forms an integral part of the Knowledge Melbourne program of activities.
The fourth annual MKW is being held from Monday 28 October to Sunday 3 November 2013.
The MKW festival of events can include exhibitions, games, film screenings, lectures, ‘open house’ invitations, performances, workshops and tours which celebrate Melbourne’s strengths in emerging areas of knowledge or in established fields such as advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, creative industries (particularly design), financial services, healthcare, higher education, and information and communication technology.
MKW aims to make knowledge accessible and fun, showcase innovative knowledge-related projects to locals and visitors alike, and encourage public debates about what it means to be a ‘knowledge city’.
Expressions of interest
Each year the City of Melbourne invites organisations and individuals to submit an expression of interest (EOI) to participate in Melbourne Knowledge Week. The EOI process is now closed for Melbourne Knowledge Week 2013.
All organisations and individuals interested in participating in a future Melbourne Knowledge Week can request further information by emailing melbourneknowledge@melbourne.vic.gov.au
