Growing Green Environmental Sustainability Plan is a long-term plan for the future management of the City of Melbourne's open space and recreational facilities. Our vision for Melbourne is that it will be greener, less dependent on cars, and with more trees throughout the city.

City of Melbourne’s Parks Policy sets out Council’s vision for the city’s parkland and establishes guidelines for their effective management. The policy aims to meet the needs and expectations of all those use our parklands, while ensuring the quality and beauty of Melbourne's green spaces are preserved for future generations.

City of Melbourne's Tree Policy provides the strategic framework for the City of Melbourne to protect, care for and nurture trees in its streets and parkland.

The Plaques and Memorials Policy and Memorials and Monuments Policy covers all plaques and memorials being placed in any public space within the City of Melbourne municipality whether this be in a street, square, park or garden.
All plaques and memorials will be required to conform to these policies. Neither policy covers signage, display boards, banners or public artworks.
