Technical notes

The City of Melbourne's technical notes (tech notes) are a reference for the design standards to be used in the City of Melbourne's public domain.

The notes include typical features of streets, parks, gardens and other public spaces, including paving, kerbs and channels, ramps and crossings, tree pits, lighting, and furniture.

These technical notes provide a diagrammatic representation with a written description and an indicative photograph.  They must be read in conjunction with our detailed standard drawings which contain all the dimensions and details you will need to actually construct or reinstate an asset.
