Like other Melbourne precincts, Docklands has a unique community with its own particular needs. The City of Melbourne supports the growth and development of Docklands in many ways, including its three-year strategy for the precinct: 'Delivering for Docklands'.
This strategy includes a vision for the precinct, and a list of actions to help the City of Melbourne, VicUrban and other partners and contributors realise this vision.
The strategy was developed in consultation with the Docklands community, including residents, businesses, water-users and others.
'Delivering for Docklands' will be the strategy for the precinct until 2010, when Future Melbourne becomes the new strategy for the whole Melbourne municipality.
