Council Plan 2009–2013
The Council Plan 2009 - 2013 was updated in July 2011 and can be accessed below.
The Council Plan outlines the shared vision and objectives of Melbourne City councillors.
Council Plan identifies eight goals, the first six of which are the long term goals for the city which were developed as part of the Future Melbourne community plan. A further two goals address the City of Melbourne’s leadership and resources.
The goals are:
- a city for people
- a creative city
- economic prosperity
- a knowledge city
- an eco-city
- a connected city
- lead by example
- manage our resources well
Council Plan is an important part of the City of Melbourne’s planning framework, which guides the development of detailed work plans and budget.
