Each quarter we publish report cards for each strategic objective of the Council Plan 2021-25. The reports include highlights, progress against major initiatives and a summary of work delivered for each strategic objective.
Message from the Lord Mayor
At the City of Melbourne we are committed to being an exemplary local government and delivering our Council Plan.
We hold ourselves accountable to continue to improve and deliver for our communities. We must be transparent and mindful of our impact on the economy, community and environment.
In June 2021, my fellow Councillors and I were proud to release the City of Melbourne Council Plan 2021-2025. As required under the
Local Government Act 2020, the Council Plan sets out our strategic direction and commitment to the community for the next four years, including what we will deliver, how we will deliver it and how we will measure progress.
Our city vision is to be a city of possibility and we are investing to create a brighter future ahead. The purpose of this report is to inform the community of Council’s performance against the Council Plan at the end of each quarter of this financial year.
It measures our performance against our major initiatives, finances and capital works program, ensuring we are on track to deliver on our strategic objectives, projects and services.
Everything we have done since the pandemic began has been to support the city and its people through this tumultuous time. As we now reopen our city, we are focused on revitalisation, investing in the experiences of all people who access and experience the City of Melbourne municipality.
Our immediate focus on reigniting the city is balanced with initiatives to build long-term economic growth, social cohesion and environmental resilience.
The purpose of this report is to inform the community of Council’s performance against the Council Plan at the end of each quarter.
