Online payments assistance

The City of Melbourne accepts online payments for Rates, Parking Infringements, Residential Parking Permits and Event Permits.

To pay, you will need a copy of your bill or payment notice and a valid credit card. Cards accepted are Visa and Mastercard.

Depending on the type of payment being made to the City of Melbourne, you will need to provide your assessment, application, notice or permit number, as outlined below:

Rates

To pay your Rates you will need to provide your Assessment Number as shown below:

You will need to enter the amount you wish to pay. This can be the amount in full, or an amount of your choice.

Please note, a merchant fee of 0.57 per cent of the rates total (GST exempt) is applied to all payments made by credit card. This is to recover the cost of merchant fees charged by financial institutions for credit card transactions.

Parking Permits

To pay your Parking Permit Renewal you will need to provide your Permit Number as shown below.

You will need to enter the amount you are required to pay. Parking Permit renewals must be paid in full. City of Melbourne does not accept part payments.

To pay for a New Parking Permit you will need to use the Payment Reference Number listed on the confirmation / invoice you received via email.

You will need to enter the amount you are required to pay. New Parking Permits must be paid in full. City of Melbourne does not accept part payments.

Parking Infringement

To pay a Parking Infringement you will need to provide your Notice Number as shown below.
